Wedding Sales & Events Coordinator

Job Description:

The Limes Country Lodge Hotel is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Wedding Sales and Events Coordinator to join our team. As a Coordinator, you will work closely with the Event Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of events. This position will involve Sales, administrative duties and on-site event management, including vendor coordination, guest reservations, and general office tasks.


Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Event Manager and Operations Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute various types of events, including conferences, parties, and weddings.

  2. Book and coordinate vendors, such as caterers, decorators, and entertainment, ensuring their availability and adherence to event requirements.

  3. Manage guest reservations and communicate event details, timelines, and logistics to ensure a seamless guest experience.

  4. Provide on-site support during events, overseeing event setup, resolving any issues or concerns, and ensuring the smooth flow of activities.

  5. Perform general office duties, including maintaining event calendars, preparing reports, and managing event-related documentation.

  6. Multitask and prioritise duties effectively while working under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality events.

  7. Work independently as well as collaboratively with team members to ensure successful event planning and execution.

  8. Utilise standard office software programs, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, to complete daily or weekly tasks accurately.

  9. Generate sales through enquiries and be proactive in business production in all areas.


Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of event planning experience, with a strong understanding of coordinating various types of events.

  2. Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  3. Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.

  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.

  7. Must be fluent in written and spoken languages to effectively communicate with diverse groups.

  8. Be a very sales-orientated individual.
