About Us

The Limes is a family run establishment set in six acres of beautiful rural grounds in Earlswood and is situated just a 2 minute drive away from junction 3 of the M42.  The Limes setting makes it an ideal venue for those guests wanting easy access to the NEC and Birmingham International Airport and Railway Station.  It is the perfect location for those guests wanting something unique.  

We provide the perfect blend of traditional style with modern comforts.  All rooms are decorated to a high standard and are equipped with wireless broadband Internet connection, digital TV with 30+ channels, tea and coffee making facilities, minibars, hairdryer and use of iron/ironing board. Limes Premier Rooms have all as standard plus larger room, sofa, 21" digital TV, DVD player, table and chairs and a king size bed.

The Limes, where the highest standards of hospitality, comfort and service are taken for granted, still has all of its original character and charm combined with new modern facilities. 

We have excellent Conference Rooms/Business Facilities and extensive grounds which can be hired for team building activities. The Limes is also the perfect setting to celebrate your Wedding Day.

Terms and Condidtions

In these Terms and Conditions ‘The Hotel’ shall mean The Limes Country Lodge and the Client shall mean the person whose name is stated on the contract as the person making the contract with the Hotel.

Clients’ Use of the Hotel

The client and persons attending the function shall:

  1. Comply with all licensing, health and safety and other regulations relating to the Hotel;
  2. Not act in an improper or disorderly manner, leave promptly at the appropriate time and comply with any reasonable request by the Hotel or the Hotel’s employees.

Food and Drink on the premises

The client must not consume any food or drink at the Hotel not supplied by the Hotel or its authorised caterers without the Hotel’s prior written consent.

Functions

Cancellations

Weddings, Receptions and Civil Ceremonies:

  1. 12 months or more prior to the wedding date – 10% of the full fee payable
  2. 7 – 12 months prior to the wedding date -  25% of the full fee payable
  3. 4 – 6 months prior to the wedding date – 50% of the full fee payable
  4. 3 months prior to the wedding date – 75% of the full fee payable
  5. 0 – 2 months prior to the wedding date – The full fee will be payable

Events

  1. 4 – 6 months prior to the event – 10% of the full fee payable
  2. 3 months prior to the event – 25% of the full fee payable
  3. 0 – 2 months prior to the event – The full fee will be payable

Conferences

  1. 90+ Days prior to the conference – 25% of the full fee payable
  2. 60 – 90 Days prior to the conference – 50% of the full fee payable
  3. 1 – 60 Days prior to the conference – The full fee will be payable

Contract:
                  
No reservation may be secured until the contract has been signed and returned.  This incorporates all booking conditions and will be sent to you once a provisional reservation has been made.  To confirm a booking a 10% non refundable deposit is required.  50% of the final estimated balance is required three months prior to the function.  The final balance is required to be paid in full one month prior to the function.  A damages deposit of £250 is required for damage/breakages at the time of the final balance.  This will be refunded within 28 days of the event  if no damages are incurred.   Any changes to numbers of attendees need to be confirmed two weeks prior to the function.  A revised invoice and contract will be issued at this time.  The client agrees to pay all the Hotel’s charges within 14 days of receipt of invoice failing which, interest will be charged daily at 3% over the Hotel’s banker’s Base Rate.  Any function for which advance payment is overdue by more than 14 days may be cancelled by the Hotel and the cancellation fees detailed above will become payable immediately.

Licensing Policy

Please be aware that last orders at the bar will be 11.40 p.m. and the bar will close at 12.00 midnight prompt.  The Limes must be vacated by 12.45 a.m. in accordance with our Licensing Policy.  This must be strictly adhered to.

Accommodation

Check-in Times

Bedrooms are normally available between 4.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. It is imperative that we are informed of any delay to your arrival.

Items in Fridge

All items in the fridge provided in the rooms are chargeable with the exception of breakfast consumables. Breakfast items include bread, milk, grapefruit, orange juice and yogurt. For all other items we rely on an honesty policy where the correct amount of money is left in the room for items taken. Failure to do this will result in a £5 penalty charge on the credit card used for booking in addition to the cost of the items.

Food and Drink

As we currently have no dining facilities we understand that guests may wish to bring take-away food into the rooms. We ask that care be taken to avoid spillage. Any extra cleaning to remove stains will be chargeable.

Smoking

We operate a strict NO SMOKING policy in all of our rooms and communal areas. A £100 charge will be levied to any guest found smoking to cover cleaning costs.

Making Payment

Payment will be requested from your designated credit card on the day of arrival.

Damages

Any items damaged or removed from the rooms will be chargeable. We would be very grateful if you could bring to our attention any items which you find to be broken or not functioning correctly.

Noise

In the interests of courtesy we ask that our guests keep noise levels to a minimum particularly after 11pm

Valuables

Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle, The Limes cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.

Cancellations

A room booking may be cancelled without charge, provided we receive notice before 10 a.m. 2 days before arrival.  For notice less than this, we will charge the full fee for the booking.
